Meet Ed Furtado

Ed FurtadoWhen it comes to learning from experience and applying what you learn to your day-to-day job responsibilities, you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone as knowledgeable as Ed Furtado.

A veteran of more than thirty years at Bay State Gas, when you scan his accomplishments, you are immediately impressed with how much experience and education Ed possesses.  That education surely translates into his impressive track record of service with the company. 

From his Business Administration degree and MBA courses, to his regular attendance at training programs at various industry institutions, it is clear that Ed strives to be one of the finest professionals possible, much to the benefit of his current roster of commercial and industrial customers.

Ed’s career with Bay State Gas started in the field as a Credit and Collections Supervisor.  This experience set the stage for the development of his ‘customer focused’ style and commitment to service.

Subsequently, Ed moved into residential sales and built strong relationships with builders, developers and homeowners, responding to the significant demands of the residential marketplace.

Ed has also sent time in the engineering department where he was directly involved in the design and construction of natural gas facilities. These duties helped Ed gain a working knowledge of our gas distribution system, the backbone of the company.

In his current role as Commercial Sales Representative, Ed interacts day-to-day with the key commercial and industrial decision makers and applies his knowledge and skills to help his customers get optimal service and response from Bay State Gas.  It’s better than three decades of experience that Ed brings to every relationship.  That’s great comfort for customers…they know they’ll get exceptional service from Ed Furtado.
