Bay State Gas Company’s “Partners In Energy” program
makes improving your energy efficiency easy and economical.

Bay Sate Gas is committed to providing its commercial & industrial customers with targeted technical and financial assistance to reduce their natural gas consumption and related energy costs. Our “Partners In Energy” program offers customers a streamlined, step-by-step process for identifying energy-saving opportunities and installing energy efficient upgrades that can save you energy and money, while helping our environment.

Small Commercial & Industrial Program

All firm, commercial natural gas customers whose annual use is less than 40,000 therms are eligible to participate in this program. BSG offers – at no cost to you – a walk-through evaluation of your existing or planned facility to identify potential energy-saving opportunities. The evaluation examines existing and/or potential natural gas equipment technologies.

Following the evaluation, you receive a no-obligation written report highlighting recommended energy efficiency improvements and projected financial benefits.

Bay State shares a portion of the cost to design, purchase and install qualified energy efficiency upgrades. BSG pays up to 50% of the qualified installed cost, up to a maximum of $50,000 per master meter.

Large Commercial & Industrial Program

All natural gas customers with combined annual use exceeding 40,000 therms – plus all larger municipal buildings, hospitals, universities, and other campus-like environments – are eligible to participate in this program.

The process begins with a simple walk-through evaluation, by Bay State, of your existing or planned facility to identify potential energy-saving opportunities. The no-cost evaluation examines existing and/or potential natural gas equipment in your facility.

Based on this evaluation, BSG determines the need for a more comprehensive energy analysis to identify specific energy efficiency improvements that qualify for financial incentives. A licensed professional engineer of you choice performs the study and Bay State will share the expense of this analysis, with matching funds of up to $7,500.

Bay State Gas also shares a portion of the cost to design, purchase and install qualified energy efficiency upgrades. BSG pays up to 50% of qualified installed cost, up to a maximum of $100,000 per master meter.
