Low Income Gas Rate

Residential customers receiving public assistance benefits may qualify for Bay State's discounted Low Income Gas Rate and no-cost energy conservation services. For questions visit DirectLink e-Services or call 1-800-882-5454. Click here to submit an application for assistance.
The Good Neighbor Energy Fund
For customers who do not qualify for fuel assistance or have an emergency situation, you may be eligible for the Good Neighbor Energy Fund, a utility and customer supported fund sponsored by the Salvation Army. For information, contact your local Salvation Army at 1-800-334-3047.
Citizens Energy/Distrigas Heat Assistance Program (CEDHAP)
CEDHAP provides a $150 credit to natural gas bills for those low income families that have exhausted their federal fuel assistance benefit or individuals ineligible to receive federal fuel assistance but cannot afford to pay their heating bills. Please call 1-866-GAS-9918 (1-866-427-9918) and leave a message with your name, address, and phone number. Citizens Energy will mail an application to you within 24 hours.
