Energy Efficiency Programs for Income Eligible Customers

You may be eligible for no-cost energy conservation services if you currently receive fuel assistance, meet the income guidelines and/ or take advantage of other public assistance benefits, such as:

  • Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC)
  • Food Stamps
  • Supplemental Social Security (SSI)
  • Emergency Aid to Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC)
  • Head Start
  • Public/Subsidized Housing
  • National School Lunch/Breakfast Program
  • Medicaid/MA Health benefits
  • MA Veterans benefits

The Bay State Gas Partners in Energy program offers a free energy assessment of your home to identify possible energy-saving opportunities.  Plus you may qualify for free energy-saving material and installation services.  Under the Partners in Energy program, income-eligible customers may receive free installation of:

  • Attic, sidewall, pipe and/or duct insulation
  • Weatherstripping
  • Air Sealing
  • Minor repairs associated with weatherization
  • Low-flow showerheads
  • Energy-saving light bulbs
  • Emergency heating system repair and replacement services
