Residential Home Energy Assessments
Through our Partners in Energy program, we offer FREE, no-obligation home energy assessments. We will perform a thorough energy assessment of your home and provide you with an Offer Sheet report listing energy-saving measures that qualify for incentives.
For single family homes and other 1-4 unit dwellings, the Bay State Gas Partners in Energy program will pay 75% of the cost, up to $2,000 to help you insulate. (For condominiums or residences with 5 or more units please see our Multifamily Program.) Additional rebates are also available to reduce the cost of replacing inefficient heating systems and water heaters.
Plus, we can relieve you of many of the headaches when installing energy-saving improvements. For most of the eligible energy-saving measures, we will assign a Partners in Energy-approved independent installation contractor to do all the necessary work. Independent contractors are pre-qualified and adhere to strict standards. The contractor warrants all workmanship and materials for one year.
Eligible Improvements
Below is a list of eligible energy-saving improvements that may qualify for financial incentives and/or rebates through the Partners in Energy Program:
- Attic insulation (When R-11 or less exists at the time of the home energy assessment)
- Wall insulation (When none exists at the time of the home energy assessment)
- Heating pipe/duct insulation
- Air sealing
- Thermostat installations

- high-efficiency indirect water heating equipment
- Energy Star thermostats
In addition:

We will supply and install low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators at no cost

Bay State Gas offers rebates on high efficiency heating equipment above the $2,000 maximum incentive for insulation improvements

Income Eligible Program
For tenants and homeowners that meet certain income guidelines, Bay State Gas in coordination with the local Community Action Agencies, offers eligible home energy assessments and the installation of insulation, heating system repair and replacement at NO COST. Click here for more information.
